Music has signed a worldwide administration agreement with The
Runners, the hit production team comprised of Jermaine "Mayne"
Jackson and Andrew "Dru Brett" Harr. As part of the agreement,
Warner/Chappell will administer both Jackson’s and Harr’s interests
in all of their future works and select catalog titles.
The
Runners have built a solid reputation as a leading hip-hop
production team and have also achieved critical and commercial

Music has signed a worldwide co-publishing agreement with NYC-based
songwriting, recording and production duo, The Knocks, for their
existing and future works.
The Knocks are B-Roc (Ben
Ruttner) and J-Patt (James Patterson). Their repertoire spans all
genres, including pop, hip-hop, rock and adult contemporary. The
Knocks’ credentials are impressive, having worked with producers
Greg Wells (Katy Perry & Natasha Bedingfield) and Grammy
award-winning producer/writer Jerry Wonda, as well as having remixed
songs for Rihanna and Flo Rida. UK music publication NME
has praised the band on numerous occasions, hailing them as
“cred-pop’s answer to the Neptunes” and called their single, “Make

grunge/heavy metal band, Alice in Chains, which covers the world

Alice in Chains garnered

of textured acoustic sounds and heavy, grinding riffs placed them at
the frontier of Seattle’s grunge scene. Over the course of its
career, the band has received seven Grammy nominations for “Best
Hard Rock Performance,” has been nominated for three MTV Video Music
Awards, and won a MTV Video Music Award in 1993 in the category of

Music has signed a co-publishing agreement with rising Warner Bros.
Records rock band, Surfer Blood, for their past and future works.
Guitarist/vocalist John Paul Pitts and drummer Tyler Schwarz
met in high school and later connected with guitarist Thomas Fekete,
bassist Brian Black, and percussionist Marcos Marchesani in 2009.
The band first gained notoriety after giving 13 performances of
their unique blend of surf and indie rock, in the span of seven days
at the 2009 CMJ Music Marathon in New York. Throughout the rest of
the year, the band toured with Art Brut and Japandroids. Soon after,
they released their debut album, Astro Coast, which reached
No. 2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and No. 19 on
Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart. Their 2009 debut
single "Swim" was ranked 37th on Pitchfork's 100 Best Songs
of 2009 chart and is currently featured in the recently released

Music has signed an administration agreement with the four member
rock band Jimmy Eat World for their back catalog. Trailblazers of
the mid-'90s punk and emocore scene, Jimmy Eat World has developed
an incredibly loyal and growing fan base by adopting a blend of
alternative rock and power pop.
Jimmy Eat World formed in
1994 and since the 1999 release of their breakthrough debut album
Clarity, they’ve sold more than 2.8 million albums,
appeared on Saturday Night Live and have toured with Foo Fighters,
Green Day and Weezer. The band’s hit songs “The Middle” and “Pain”
both peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock
Tracks chart, and their albums Bleed American and
Futures were certified platinum and gold, respectively.
Their sixth album, Chase This Light, peaked at No. 5 on the
Billboard 200 chart. Their latest studio effort,
Invented, was released on September 28th, 2010, and peaked
at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. Jimmy Eat World is

recently inked deals with legendary rockers Sammy Hagar, David Lee
Roth and Michael Anthony, all of Van Halen fame.
As part of
the new agreement, Warner/Chappell acquired the entire catalog of
songs written by Sammy Hagar—songwriter guitarist, and former lead
singer of Van Halen (1986 through 1996)—including his work with the
bands Van Halen, Montrose and Chickenfoot, as well as his music as a
solo artist.
Additionally, Warner/Chappell extended and
expanded its worldwide administration agreements with songwriters
David Lee Roth, original lead singer for Van Halen (1978 through
1984), and Michael Anthony, bassist for Van Halen and Chickenfoot.
Roth’s existing catalog, including his Van Halen and solo work, as
well as Anthony’s work with Van Halen and Chickenfoot’s debut

Music has extended and expanded its worldwide agreement with
Birmingham, Alabama, chart-topping hip-hop artist and songwriter,
Gucci Mane. Previously, Gucci Mane had been signed to a worldwide
administration agreement with Warner/Chappell. Under the new
arrangement, Warner/Chappell will co-publish all existing and future
songs.
Gucci Mane’s latest album, The Appeal: Georgia’s
Most Wanted, was released on September 28, 2010, and peaked at
No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 6 on the Hot
R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Released on December 8, 2009, his
album The State vs. Radric Davis debuted at No. 1 on
Billboard’s Hot Rap Albums chart, No. 2 on the Hot
R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 10 on the Billboard
200. The first single from the album, “Wasted” (featuring Plies and
OJ Da Juiceman), reached No. 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and
Hot Rap Songs charts. The second and third singles from the album,

Paramore is a rock band formed in Franklin, Tennessee in
2004. Their third and most recent album, brand new eyes, was
released in 2009, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and went
gold by the end of the year. Featuring some of Paramore’s strongest
songwriting to date, the album reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock
Albums, Alternative Albums and Digital Albums charts.

recently extended and expanded its existing music publishing
agreement with Tulsa, Oklahoma pop rock band, Hanson. Under the new
worldwide agreement, which now includes North America,
Warner/Chappell will administer their catalog of existing works and
co-publish all future works.
In June, 2010, the band
released their fifth studio album, Shout It Out, which was
produced and written by Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson, and debuted on
Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart at No. 2. Over the
course of its career, the band has earned its share of accolades and
recognition including multiple Grammy nominations—in fact, drummer
Zac Hanson is the youngest Grammy-nominated songwriter in
history—and the Guinness World’s Record for the loudest concert
audience in history. It was Hanson’s 1997 release Middle of
Nowhere that initially put the band on the map, due in part to
the success of its smash hit single, “MMMBop,” which peaked at No. 1
on Billboard’s Hot 100 and spent 22 weeks on the chart. The

ABML represents Alain

from the worldwide, record-setting and award-winning musicals,
Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, as well as
Martin Guerre, The Pirate Queen and

legend Stephen Sondheim celebrated his 80th birthday in March 2010,
but the festivities continue throughout the year and around the
world. All-star gala concerts were presented by the New York
Philharmonic (taped for PBS broadcast and DVD), New York City
Center, the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, the BBC Proms at Royal
Albert Hall in London, the St. George’s Society, the New York Pops
at Carnegie Hall, and many more. The Roundabout Theatre in New York
presented the world premiere of the new multimedia musical revue,
Sondheim on Sondheim (cast album available on PS Classics),
and named a Broadway theatre in his honor—one of the very few times
this has been done for a living writer. The hit revival of his show,
A Little Night Music, continues to run on Broadway,
starring Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch (cast album available
